Around Truro:
A short stroll away from us is the beautiful Truro cathedral, built in the 1880s. This cathedral was the first to be built on a new site in England since Salisbury cathedral in 1220, and it has some of the finest examples of Victorian stain glass windows in the country. Guided tours are available every morning from April to October.
Wednesdays and Saturdays are farmers’ market days - you'll find stalls on the Lemon Quay Piazza, a great place to buy lots of fresh produce.
If you’re feeling peckish - quaint tea houses sit happily amongst cosmopolitan bistros in this thriving city, most specialise in using locally grown fresh produce in their mouth-watering menus. We’d be happy to recommend one during your visit. |
