 Floris is one of the world's oldest perfumery houses. Established in 1730 in the heart of London, Floris is still a family-run business over 280 years later. Recipes for 'flower waters' and perfumes popular in the Victorian era are still part of their collection today, but don't think for one moment that Floris is all just about the history of perfume. Floris fragrances are as popular today as they were 200 years ago, and the company is constantly exploring new fragrances.

Floris perfumes are just the tip of the fragrance iceberg. This remarkable company also produces Floris soaps, room fragrances, Floris body moisturisers and lotions, giving Floris fans a complete range of beautifully fragranced products to enrich their lives. Their perfumes are mainly floral based, as in the rich, complex aroma of their Edwardian Bouquet perfume, a heady blend of hyacinth combined with a hint of bergamot and mandarin. As you go deeper into this typically Floris scent, you are introduced to a floral heart of jasmine, rose and ylang ylang. Patchouli and sandalwood dominate the base notes, which are accented with moss, musks and soft powdery notes.

Complex blends and timeless scents

Floris Cefiro is suitable for both men and women, combining a rich mixture of spicy cardamom and nutmeg with citrus top notes and a warmer base of sandalwood, musk and cedarwood. Floris Gents Elite is a complicated blend of spices and woody bottom notes, and is the perfect choice for the sophisticated older man. The signature Floris men's aftershave No. 89 takes its name from the shop on Jermyn Street and is a light, citrus based blend warmed with sandalwood, cedarwood and vetiver. A favourite of Ian Flemming, this is the quintessentially English gentleman's fragrance.
